Two Months Old Today!

Ava: Hey Col, we're two months old today! Can you believe it?

Colin: What a long, strange trip it's been. Hey, that'd make a great lyric! Get me my notepad...

Ava: Silly, you can't write. Amazing that it's been two long months since we were mercilessly ripped from our wonderful womb! Still getting over that.

Colin: Yeah, it was nice in there.

Ava: We've grown a ton! We've both more-than-doubled our birth weights. You are a chunk!

Colin: And you're no three-and-a-half pounds anymore, yerself...


Ava: Not funny! I stick my tongue at you...

Just think, within another two months we'll be sitting up ourselves! And it will be spring and we can finally venture out! Can't wait to go to the park, and down to the waterfront, and the river...

What are you looking foward to, Col? Colin? Hello...?

A Visit from Memere & Pepere

Memere & Pepere means Grandma & Grandpa in French, and ours came down from the far north for the weekend. The long 7 hour drive from Caribou, Maine didn't deter them from meeting their granddaughter and grandson. We hope to visit up to Maine for the first time next month...maybe Daddy will get to go for a ride on Pepere's Ski-Doo!

Happy New Year!

What a difference a year makes.

The twins got a visit on New Years Day from newlyweds, Pam and Rocky. They finally tied the knot on the 31st after a very long courtship. We went from trying for so long to start a family and having disappointment last New Years to having twin miracles by the year's end. So Rocky summed up 2008 in such a succinct way -- what a difference a year makes. Indeed.
